World Book Day 2019

ethan as snape world book day 2019

World Book Day is an important day in the calendar as it helps promote reading and writing and encourages children to think about what they are reading. Each child is encouraged to pick a Book they like and then dress up as the character. They are then asked to bring the Book into school with them to share with their class. Some schools pick a topic and some choose to just let them go wild, a lot of boys usually pick footballers.

Here is a link for this years £1 World Book Day stories and I have to say I cannot wait to get the LEGO one for Ethan!

As a kid I loved it – as a Parent I dread it. Ethan changes his mind more times than he changes his boxers in relation to who he wants to be. This year though he has got the Harry Potter bug and is dressing up as Draco Malfoy. I think he looks extra cute with the missing front teeth! He has even made a notebook for inside that Book cover. He is taking World Book Day very seriously this year.

I was super organised and got the outfit in advance from Matalan. He loves it and wears it daily as soon as he gets home from school. I’m just hoping he doesn’t change his mind the night before.

If you are still looking for a costume then Sainsbury’s have 25% off until Sunday 17th February 2019.

Not an Advert or Paid by either companies mentioned.
