London’s Big Read has come back around again and this time I chose to read Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton.
It’s a book I’ve wanted to read for ages and when I was offered it as part of the Big Read I snapped it up! I started it at 11am and finished it by midnight the same day. I cannot remember the last time I read a book from cover to cover in a day. It left me wanting more and I didn’t want it to finish. Everyone needs to read this Dolly Alderton has smashed it.
I lapped up this book and I related to so much of it. Dolly Alderton is only about 3 years older than me so a lot of the teenage years she wrote about basically could of been me writing it.
I loved the recipes in the book as it made me feel like I was reading a journal or a letter to a friend. It made me feel involved and part of the book instead of being on the side lines. Also it does make a damn good Mac n cheese!
I would 100% recommended getting this for all your friends, family and work colleagues. They will be hooked from the first chapter just like me. It’s got comedy, it’s got tragedy and it’s got love.
