Today I answered the blogging questions that I have been asking everyone else. My name is Megan, and I live in Hertfordshire, UK. I have a YouTube channel which I LOVE doing, as well as my social media pages and my blog. I started my blog about 8 years ago when I was a single mum to Ethan. I am 29 and now a mum to 2 boys, a step-mum to 3 children and a soon to be wife (August 2022).

Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?

My blog includes all things I enjoy – food, baking, toy reviews, family life, travel, books and lifestyle as well as other bits and pieces.

Describe how did you first get into blogging?

I first started my blog because I wanted a way to write down my thoughts and feelings without having my name directly attached to it. Now I do it to try and earn money to keep my family afloat but it doesn’t always work.

Can you tell me some of your strengths that really helped you in blogging?

My strength is that I enjoy what I write, and how I do it. This helps me to put out blogs when I want too and it doesn’t feel like work that way. I enjoy making content and when I stop enjoying it I will stop doing it.

How would you describe your blogging style?

My blogging style is very personal, I love everything I write otherwise what is the point. It is informal, chatty and easy to read.

What do you think is the best service a blogger can provide to Their readers?

Easy to read blogs, informative and not clickbait but also personal experiences helps massively and personal opinions. Honesty is a big thing for me.

How do you manage time to run your blog efficiently?

I don’t! I am always either over organised or trying to catch up. I am a nightmare for not finishing things I start so I tend to have multiple blog posts in progress and many many many youtube projects on the go at once.

How do you want to improve yourself in the next year?

In the next year I would like to be more financially stable through my blog, and YouTube.

What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?

My greatest failure is not learning SEO and tips for good YouTube interaction.

Tell me about your proudest blogging achievement?

My proudest blogging achievement is being featured twice on Emma’s Diary blog page and being paid for my work.

Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

I would say it is my husband to be, he has really supported me with my blog and he has been encouraging me to get more work, go to events and even puts up with me filming him for YouTube. He is amazing and puts up with my blogging and filming kit everywhere.

What is your greatest achievement outside of blogging?

My greatest achievement is the fact that I have kept going, I get some decent views on my blog and hitting 1.5k on YouTube was a big step (I am hoping to hit 2K by the end of the year).

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time I love to read, travel, bake and watch my stepkids play football. Nick and I love to watch films and spend time taking random drives around our local area and exploring.

Where would you like to be in the blogging world five years from now?

I would like to keep doing what I’m doing and have this be my full time job, and be comfortable with an income. I would LOVE YouTube to be my full time job but it is hard to earn ££ via it without the subscribers and watch time.

What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far?

The most challenging moment was when I realised I have no clue about SEO and now I am trying to correct that and learn more to help myself progress.

Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?

My favorite vloggers are Zoe Sugg, Alfie Deyes, Mark Ferris, Moriah Elizabeth and NerdeJackie/Crafter. I don’t have a favourite blogger but I do like reading through the blogs I see on Twitter.
