RockIt Review [AD]

In my 11 years of parenting I have seen lots of products come and go but The Rockit is a product that I can see sticking around for a long time. I firmly believe it is here to stay and wish it had been around more widely when Ethan was little. It’s such a simple idea but it really is very effective and the Rockit is definitely a huge game-changer in our napping world.

In my 11 years of parenting I have seen lots of products come and go but The Rockit is a product that I really like. I firmly believe it is a good product and wish it had been around when Ethan was born. It’s a simple idea but it is very effective. I believe the Rockit is a huge game-changer in the parenting world.

What Is The Rockit?

The Rockit attaches easily to prams, buggies & strollers no matter what thickness of the frame. It’s soothing rocking motion helps to keep your baby sleeping and there is various difference speeds from barely there to full on rocking. It is showerproof, comes with inbuilt quiet motor technology, and has a 60 minute rocking cycle as well as the new rechargeable battery so no more need for AA batteries.

The RockIt has been developed by 3 dads (Nick,Matt & Matt) who have 7 children between them. Nick came up with the idea and he decided to make a prototype. He tried it out the next day and to his surprise it worked. His daughter Abby remained asleep, when the pushchair stopped moving and that was the start of the RockIt journey.

How it works

The bracket that comes with the RockIt has notches which click into place on the strap. They secure and undo easily but are stable and tight when attached to the pram/stroller/buggy. In order to release the bracket you just need to push in the button on the strap and it slides out easily.

The Rockit is the unit which causes the rocking motion. You switch it on by pressing the grey button on the top of the nose cone and change the strength of the rock at the bottom. It is estimated that the battery will last around 60 hours if it is being used vertically at the slowest speed on a fully charged battery. If my maths is correct then that works out at around an hour a day for 2 months.

My Thoughts On The RockIt

Ezra is usually a good sleeper, we have been lucky but when he is super over tired or over simulated then nap times and sleeping is horrendous. I first used the Rockit on his pram in the living room so I could work out how it worked and what was the best setting for us. We have since used it when eating out with the family, at the beach and we have to say we were dubious but we have found that it is perfect to use in busy environments. We love the fact that when using the RockIt we don’t need to have the space to push and pull the buggy back and forwards and when they are asleep, you can enjoy having both hands free.

I really think this is a must-have in the competitive world of baby products and I would recommend it to expecting mums as it will save your arms and your sanity.

Where Can We Buy The RockIt?

The Rockit costs £49.95 and you can find a list of retailers here: https://rockitrocker.com/. You can also purchase spare brackets at £4 each. The new style of bracket is a rotating bracket so it can be moved easily into an upright position ast £5. The original RockIt Rocker is £39.95 but this runs on batteries.

Find The Rockit on their website, on Facebook, on Twitter and on Instagram.
